Shop local - Webshop

In July I moved the stock of Danish produce upstairs. There will be a selection of the Spisehus available on Saturdays starting in September and any purchases from the website can be picked up on a Saturday. My door will be open, I will be setting an alphabet of prints of Dennis Gould in preparation for his letterpress book release, the Mokkamaster will be on for any of those who want to peruse the books and paraphernalia. Pick up of any items can be arranged by appointment and I am always happy to source certain ranges if asked to. The Fermob range will be on the website soon and can be seen at 31 High Street.

I choose to support local shops and produce and where possible will shop in Stroud and here I am adding more and more to my ‘WEBSHOP’ but behind this is a physical shop and interesting displays curated from a love of everyday beauty. Regularly being in Copenhagen I also buy from local shops and suppliers and want to share these with those in Gloucestershire and further afield. One customer in Østerbro bought an English china service that his Mormor had in her home, a recent purchase of Fangst knækbrød was ordered for delivery to Canada!

I remember before you could order online or even have mobile phones, as a young person, I travelled to London a number of times to buy an enamel milk pan from Labour and Wait. I enjoyed a day out in London as part of the shopping outing and eventually found the milk pan in stock. I chose a lilac pan and it is used to this day to make hot chocolate in for the kindergarten. I have since bought an olive green for cooking pasta on a Wednesday lunch and found the Reiss range on our travels to Munich.
